Production Scheduler

Allam Power is accepting applications for a Production Scheduler to join our team to ensure the efficient assembly of diesel generating sets at our manufacturing facility in Melton, East Yorkshire.

At Allam Power, we design and assemble generating sets from 8 to 2500kva, and we are expanding the team to ensure our manufacturing processes are delivered in-line with ISO9001 quality standards.

You would be joining Allam Power at an exciting time in the development of the company, with ambitious plans for growth and a number of interesting upcoming projects.

We’re looking for a methodical, practically-minded production assistant – you’ll have an excellent work ethic, an understanding of safe working practices and an eye for detail.

Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with the Production Lead, the primary objectives of this role are to maintain quality standards, maximise efficiencies, and plan production operations.

Job Description

Your key direct responsibilities will include:

- Production & material scheduling
- Support Production Lead with process development Preparation of documentation for build
- Issuing work order packs for production
- Monitor build times and efficiencies Report on key metrics to Production Lead
- Quality Control
- H&S permits admin on minor works
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
- Provide cover for key duties of Production Lead
- Liaise with other departments including procurement and engineering

Person Specification

If you’re the right person for this role, you’ll be reliable and passionate about doing things properly. You will have a proven track record of planning production and tracking efficiencies in a production environment.

- Be able to problem solve in a fast-moving environment
- Have a keen eye for detail and high personal standards

Essential:

-
Proven experience in a production scheduling / production assistant role
- Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Full driving licence Excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- High levels of written and verbal communication skills
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) – including maths and english

Desirable:

Knowledge of production and accounts software packages (Eg. Sage / CIM50)
- Health and Safety qualifications (IOSH / NEBOSH)
- Production qualifications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices Knowledge
- Experience of working to ISO9001 quality standards

Salary:

Competitive – dependent on experience.
